At Grow Your Mind, we specialize in comprehensive evaluation for children who may need support with communication, motor skills, sensory processing, or daily activities. Our team of licensed speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists is here to understand your child’s unique strengths and challenges - and to guide you every step of the way.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY EVALUATION

Our pediatric speech-language evaluations focus on how your child communicates. This includes how they understand and use language, how clearly they speak, their social communication skills, and how their voice and fluency (stuttering) are developing. We all assess feeding and swallowing when needed.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY EVALUATION

Occupational therapy evaluations look at how your child moves, plays, and handles everyday activities. We assess fine motor skills (like writing or buttoning), sensory processing (reactions to sounds, textures, or movement), attention, self-care skills, and coordination.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Evaluations are fun and engaging! We combine parent interviews, play-based observations, and standardized tools to get a full picture of your child’s abilities. After the evaluation, you’ll receive a detailed report and clear, personalized recommendations - whether therapy is needed or just some support at home.

At Grow Your Mind, we believe in empowering families and helping kids shine in their own way.Each evaluation should take around 1 hour ​depending on the needs of the child. Prior to ​the evaluation, please complete the ​documentation present under ​Patient/Parent Documents, if able. If you ​are unable to complete these forms before ​the assessment, please let us know and we ​will be happy to have forms available for ​completion at the time of the evaluation. ​Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to your ​first appointment if documentation is not ​completed prior.

Following a comprehensive evaluation, Grow Your Mind will provide individualized speech and language therapy and/or occupational therapy services for children of all ages. Our mission, through therapy, is to help your child grow in communication, motor skills, and independence - all in a supportive, play-based environment that encourages confidence and joy.

PARENT AND CAREGIVER EDUCATION

We believe the best outcomes happen when families are involved. At the end of each session, our therapists take time to review what was worked on, share progress, and provide simple strategies or activities you can use at home. This ensures therapy extends beyond the clinic and becomes part of your child’s daily routine.

Grow Your Mind partners with local school districts to provide speech and language therapy services and occupational therapy services who are understaffed or in need of specialized services.

Grow Your Mind is available to help support school districts with short term and/or long term speech and language therapy and occupational therapy needs (maternity leaves, maximum caseload capacities, etc.), completion of play-base assessments, completion of district reevaluations, etc. Please reach out with your individualized needs. At Grow Your Mind Therapy Services, we provide comprehensive psychological evaluation to support accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and overall well being. Our assessments are conduced by a licensed school psychologist using gold standard, evidence-based tools. Services offered include, but are not limited to: ADHD Evaluation, Learning Disability Testing, Autism Spectrum Evaluation, Psychoeducational Assessments, and Emotional & Behavioral Assessments.
